The Lord's Prayer, or the Pater noster, is probably the best-known prayer in all of Christianity and the fundamental prayer of the Catholic Church. It is considered a summary of the Gospels and was taught to the apostles by Jesus, appearing in both the Gospels of Matthew (6:9-13) and Luke (11:2-4).
Our Father, Who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come;
Thy Will be done on earth
as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those
who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen
